CG on a dump near the Minsk

Post by Dmitry Goncharov » Sat Mar 02, 2013 3:51 pm

It seems a Сaspian Gull, but her legs and beak are too yellow, iris is pale.
She is similar to the gull from Barneveld of the Netherlands (Cachinnelis? by Albert de Jong, Nov 29, 2012).

hi dmitry,

do you have a pic with an open wing, or maybe at least one with a hanging wing where the primary pattern can be seen better?
the bird looks very like a yellow-legged gull (larus michahellis). any other pic might help.

Dear Lou,
Unfortunately, a picture with an open wing during that moment it was not possible to receive.
I hope later to receive the best images.

From what I can see, it looks good for michahellis.

Excuse me, colleagues. Birds like that sit now in hudreds on ice in centre of Minsk. I don't think it is michachellis as it has large white spots on primaries. Michahellis so far was not registered for Belarus. It's probably "omissus" type of argentatus: bright iris and bright yellow legs.
