The GullFest 2012 was 14-15.4.2012, and was a big success. The reason for having it earlier this year is so we time up better with the glaucous gulls, there was only a few tens of them in april 2012. "Normal" is a few hundred in and near Vardø.
There will be gull ringing by "samlebåndsprinsipp", ridiculously beatiful scenery (if the weather behave), some nice talks in the evenings, and a lot of other birds than gulls as well, for those with such habits. Stellers Eiders, King Eiders and Brunnich Guillemots are normally present in from reasonable to high numbers.
It is possible that we can arrange a Gull Meeting combined with the GullFest in 2014, if there are interest for it
Best wishes,
Morten
