1w big gull
We finally managed to catch some gulls on Zagreb rubbish tip
We ringed 143 birds last weekend including few nice adult Caspians..(more pix on my blog)
For one of the 1w birds I would like to hear your opinion.
Is it arg?

CR YLG from Croatian coast
Hi guys,
would you call this a YLG if it didn't have ring?
It was found and photographed by Łukasz Bednarz few days ago in Poland..
It was ringed in June in one of Northern colonies in Adriatic.
cheers

Re: sex guessing
Hi Strahil,
it had metal ring , but it was lousy aluminium ring and most YLGs loose them in first two years... That's why we use steel last few years or put above the "knee"..
Hope to see some of your birds this winter:)
cheers

This is all we got. The thing is that this is one of the first birds we got recovery fledged on one colony and found breeding on another.. Untill now we had only recoveries on same colony...
